January: A Tough Beginning, A Resilient Heart
We began 2024 in the hospital with Alyce, facing an uncertain future. Her tiny body endured so much, yet her spirit shone brighter than ever. Damian and I spent sleepless nights at her bedside, holding her hand, whispering our hopes for her future, and leaning on each other for strength.
This month reminded us of the importance of community. To our friends and family who sent prayers, messages, and unwavering support—you gave us strength when we needed it most. Alyce showed us that even in the darkest times, her light was unstoppable.
February: Love and Hope Bloom
February brought glimmers of hope as Alyce’s health improved. We celebrated her first Valentine’s Day, dressing her in the tiniest, most adorable pink outfit. Her coos and little smiles brightened the hearts of everyone who cared for her.
This month, our gratitude goes to the friends who sent care packages, and to the family who stood by us. You reminded us that love can conquer even the toughest challenges.
March: A Spring Awakening
At home, our hearts were full of gratitude. Alyce’s giggles filled our days, and she began exploring the world around her with wonder. Boujee and Dapper welcomed her back with gentle snuggles, and our family started to feel whole again.
Thank you to the medical team who prepared us for this transition and to everyone who checked in, visited, or simply reminded us we weren’t alone. Your kindness gave us the courage to start fresh.
April: Easter and New Beginnings
Easter became a celebration of resilience and renewal. Alyce’s bunny ears and pastel outfits made the holiday feel magical. Boujee and Dapper played their roles as "protectors of the egg hunt," though their true goal was sniffing out treats.

May: Mother’s Day Milestones
Mother’s Day was unforgettable—Alyce sat up by herself for the first time! It was a moment of pure joy and a reminder of how far she had come. Boujee lounged dramatically nearby while Dapper offered his "moral support" through affectionate licks.

June & July: Summer Adventures Begin
June brought sunshine and Alyce’s first beach day. Watching her float serenely while Boujee basked in the shade and Dapper dipped his paws into the water was a moment we’ll never forget.
We are so grateful for the friends who reminded us that life’s simplest pleasures are often the sweetest.
August: A G-Tube Goodbye Into the Wild
July marked a monumental milestone—Alyce’s G-tube surgery. The NG tube that had been a part of her journey was gone, and Alyce’s strength amazed us all. She quickly regained her energy, filling our home with even more joy and laughter.
We have also ventured into the great outdoors for Alyce’s first camping trip. From the ‘treehouse’ tent to bug battles, it was an adventure for the books. Alyce’s giggles, Dapper’s bravery in the water, and Boujee’s calm leadership made every effort worthwhile.
To our family and friends who encouraged us to take this leap, thank you. Your advice and encouragement turned a daunting idea into a cherished memory.
September: Crawling Into Chaos
Alyce began crawling this month, transforming our home into a delightful whirlwind of baby-proofing and puppy antics. Boujee and Dapper watched with bemusement as Alyce explored her new world.
Special thanks to our nanny for her care, patience, and creativity in keeping Alyce engaged. You’ve been a lifeline as we settled into new routines.
October: Celebrating Growth
Alyce turned 10 months old and discovered her love for avocado and soup. Halloween brought giggles galore as our little dragon joined her Frenchie princess and knight for a night of fun.

November: Back to Work, Full Hearts
Returning to work after 11 months with Alyce was bittersweet, but our family adapted beautifully. Alyce thrived under the nanny’s care, and Damian and I leaned on each other to balance our busy lives.
