Villlhelllm: How do You even Spell It?
Tiny Tales from Alyce’s Weekly Wonders
Hello, it’s Alyce here! Reporting live from my cozy, warm new room upstairs. This past week has been quite the adventure, filled with ups and downs, giggles and cuddles, and, most importantly, some delicious new flavors!
First things first, I had a bit of a rough patch this week. Between catching a cold and dealing with these pesky new teeth, I was feeling a little under the weather. But don’t worry, Mom was right there by my side! She kept me entertained with all my favorite toys and lots of soothing snuggles. Dad stepped up his game too, making me laugh with his funny faces and silly noises. He really knows how to turn my frown upside down! And of course, my furry friends, Boujee and Dapper, never left my side, showering me with endless love and affection.
But let’s get to the big news! The most exciting part of my week was definitely being cleared by the OT (that’s occupational therapist, for those who don’t know) for puree tasting TWICE a day. How cool is that? Puree time has become a special little ceremony for me. Mom makes the most amazing purees with fruits and vegetables. Sometimes she even adds cereals and all kinds of new flavors to make things extra tasty.
When it’s puree time, I get to wear my fancy bib and eat all by myself from the big spoon. It’s a messy job, but someone’s got to do it! After my big spoon fun, I get some extra snacking with the OT spoon. It’s like a little bonus round of yumminess!
Oh, and guess what? The weather has been so nice lately that I finally get to wear all my cute dresses and fashionable clothes. I feel like such a little diva! Moving to my big room upstairs was the best decision ever. It’s much warmer and cozier than Dad’s office downstairs, where it was always freezing cold. Now I can play and sleep in comfort, and I have so much more space to explore and have fun.
Despite the colds and teething, I am full of life and love to laugh. Every day is a new adventure, and I can’t wait to see what next week brings. Until then, I’ll be here, enjoying my puree tastings, giggling at Dad’s funny faces, and soaking up all the love from Mom, Boujee, and Dapper.
Sending you all big baby hugs and kisses!
Alyce 💕
If Our House Could Talk!
Hello our beloved Vilhelmians,
It’s the House here and welcome to another edition of “Life with the Tall One, the Kat, and the New Tiny Dictator”. I know I haven’t checked in for a while, and that’s because the tall one has been neglecting his to-do list. And when I say neglecting, I mean he’s been adding new tasks but not completing the old ones. Anyway, that’s enough about him.
Watching Alyce grow has been nothing short of amazing. The day when she discovers crayons and our pristine white walls is fast approaching. We’re already planning to market her inevitable masterpieces as “abstract expressionism.” Watching her bend Damian and Kat to her will is a sight for sore eyes – who knew such a tiny human could have such a commanding presence?
The best part of this journey has been witnessing Damian’s gradual loss of territory to our little one. It started in the kitchen with Kat’s baby gadget shopping spree. Poor Damian had to create a “Baby Zone” just to keep some counter space for his beloved coffee maker. But the invasion didn’t stop there. Day by day, drawer by drawer, Alyce’s empire grows. The coup de grâce came last week when Damian had to swap his office with the baby room because Alyce’s room was too cold. Watching him try to fit his ergonomic chair into a room designed for a crib was like watching a giraffe try to fit into a doghouse. Poor guy, when will he realize that he’s no longer the baby and that the new baby is the reigning monarch of this castle?
We’ve started a betting pool on how long it’ll take before Damian is relegated to a tent in the backyard. Any takers? Don’t worry, we’ll make sure it’s a nice tent – maybe with a little desk for his laptop and a mini-fridge for his snacks.
To all the parents out there navigating the wonderful world of baby-induced chaos, we raise our sippy cups to you. May your homes be filled with laughter, love, and just enough space to squeeze in an adult or two. Until next time, keep calm and parent on!
Father’s Day or Mother’s Day Part 2?
Hello our Vilhelmians!
Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy Father’s Day. It was truly a special day and one for the books. But as I reflect on the events of yesterday, I can’t help but chuckle at the irony of it all. You see, Father’s Day isn’t quite what it seems…
Father’s Day, a day meant to celebrate and honor the fathers in our lives, often starts with the best of intentions. The morning begins with the family showering dad with gifts and well wishes, just what’s needed to soften him up.
The kids, full of excitement, start clamoring for his attention. One hour turns into two, and before he knows it, he’s four hours in, surrounded by his children who are eager to spend every moment with him.
As the day progresses, Dad starts to feel the weight of the endless attention. The kids, sensing his fatigue, know exactly what will happen next: he will turn to Mom for help. They smell fear. Desperate for a break, dad runs to Mom, hoping for some respite. She, with a knowing smile, says, “Of course, hun, it’s Father’s Day. But if I take the kids, who will make dinner?”

Now, Dad faces a choice: stay with the kids longer or take on the task of making dinner. Since it’s Father’s Day, he decides to make something special for the occasion. “Let me whip up a special meal to celebrate,” he says, trying to keep the spirit of the day alive. Mom, with a hint of amusement, asks, “Hun, are you sure?”
And there you have it. Father’s Day, a delightful twist of a day, where the intent of relaxation and appreciation for dad transforms into a joyful marathon of family fun. The true charm lies in the fact that this day, dedicated to celebrating fathers, often sees them more engaged than ever. It’s a day that starts with the promise of rest but evolves into a testament to the ever-present demands of family life and the love that binds it all together. This day exemplifies the beautiful chaos of fatherhood, where the greatest gift is the laughter, love, and unforgettable moments shared with those who matter most.
Oh, and before I forget, why don’t skeletons fight each other? They don’t have the guts.
Thank you once again for all the Father’s Day wishes. It was a day filled with joy, laughter, and a touch of irony. Until next time, Vilhelmians!
Woof Woof! 🐾
Bonjour, les amis! It’s your favorite Frenchies, Boujee et Dapper, here to spill the kibble on our fabulous week! Let us tell you, Father’s Day was **woof**-tastic! Why, you ask? Because we got to spend the entire day with our amazing dad, of course. And trust us, he was over the moon with the presents we picked out. We’re pretty sure we saw a tear or two of joy when he opened these slobber-proof “new tech” clothes and the French vocabulary flash cards. We know, we’re geniuses.
But hold on to your chew toys, folks, because we’ve been on double-duty this week. Our adorable little human, Alyce, has been going through a tough time with teething and a nasty cold. Poor thing! We’ve been giving her extra snuggles, sloppy kisses, and our best puppy-dog eyes to cheer her up. And guess what? Her first tooth is starting to make an appearance!
Honestly, we’re thrilled because a happy Alyce means more playtime for us. Plus, nothing beats the sound of her giggles when we do our signature zoomies around the living room. It’s like we’re stand-up comedians, and she’s our biggest fan.
Speaking of snuggles, you know what’s the best part of our week? Saturday mornings in the family bed! Imagine this: Dad, Kat, Alyce, Boujee, and moi, Dapper, all cozied up in one big, fluffy, warm snuggle fest. It’s like heaven, but with more fur and occasional snoring (ALL OF US!). It’s the best way to start the weekend, paws down.
Life is just so doggone good with our loving family. Whether we’re showering Alyce with attention or making Dad’s day with our thoughtful gifts, we couldn’t be happier. We’re grateful for every belly rub, every treat, and every moment spent together.
So, until next time, keep those tails wagging and those noses wet!
Pawfully yours,
Boujee et Dapper 💖🐾
