Villlhelllm: How do You even Spell It?
Tiny Tales from Alyce’s Weekly Wonders

Hello everyone! It’s me, Alyce! Even though I’m just four months old, I’ve had a super exciting week filled with smiles, positivity, and lots of sunshine. I want to share all the love and fun updates with you!
First off, this week my parents and I went on a little adventure to the hospital to see a very kind doctor called an ENT— that’s short for ears, nose, and throat specialist. Guess what? The doctor used a very long scope to peek inside my throat! It was almost as long as my NG tube! Can you imagine? I was super brave and curious about the whole thing.
We went to check on my laryngomalacia, which is just a fancy way to say that parts of my throat are a bit floppy. The really good news? It’s very, very, VERY mild! The doctor told us that I’m growing out of it, which made my mommy and daddy so happy. They were all smiles, and so was I!
But, we still have a little mystery to solve. My swallow isn’t working just right yet, so we’re still trying to figure that out. In the meantime, I’ve been discovering all kinds of yummy things! There are so many tasty foods out there—especially fruits and veggies! I just love them, even though I can’t swallow them quite yet. But that’s okay, because I’m a little warrior, and warriors never give up!
Speaking of fighting, let me tell you about my nightly escapades. I’ve become quite the expert at wriggling out of my swaddle. My parents say I’m a little Houdini! Once I manage to free myself, I wiggle my arms and legs all over…aaaand sometimes the NG gets a little bit of freedom, too!
So, as you can see, life is pretty exciting for me. I’m learning, growing, and exploring the world one giggle and wiggle at a time. Thanks for reading my little blog post. I promise to keep you all updated as I tackle each new challenge with a big, gummy smile!
Love,
Alyce 💕
Saying Goodbye to a Lifelong Friend – You Won’t Believe Where They’re Going!
This week, unexpected news came my way: my lifelong friend is returning to his homeland to start a new chapter. It’s a decision he’s been contemplating for some time, but I always saw it as a distant dream, not something happening so soon. But life has its own timeline, and it’s a reminder that life is for living, not waiting.
The news brings mixed emotions for me. While I’m thrilled for him and the adventures that await, it’s also hard to accept another departure in my life. Sometimes, I wish things could just stay the same. But life isn’t that simple, and holding onto the past won’t change anything.
I’m going to miss our chats and our adventures in the clubs. But I take comfort in knowing that he’ll effortlessly make new friends wherever he goes—it’s just who he is.

Our heartfelt conversation about his decision got me reflecting on something quintessentially Canadian. Living here can be isolating, especially during the long, cold winters. We often find ourselves chasing after material possessions, sacrificing traditions and genuine connections along the way. We’ve traded quality time with loved ones for endless scrolling on our devices, losing touch with the true essence of community. It feels like we’re less connected now, and perhaps technology, particularly social media, plays a role in that. It’s more about “media” than “social,” and I can understand why my friend wants to break away from that and seek warmth and connection elsewhere.
As my friend embarks on his new journey, I’m reminded that even when physical distance separates us, our connections can remain strong. I eagerly anticipate visiting him in his new home, experiencing the warmth of his new community, both in climate and camaraderie. Let’s make a concerted effort to stay in touch with those who matter most, whether through a heartfelt conversation, a handwritten letter, or a surprise visit.
“Life is about more than just possessions and routines; it’s about experiences and connections. And sometimes, taking a chance and stepping out of your comfort zone is the best way to find them.” – Unknown
In closing, we’d love to hear from you! How do you stay connected with loved ones near and far? What traditions and memories do you cherish most? Share your thoughts on culture, connection, and community with us.
Thank you for being part of our community. Until next time, take care, and let’s stay connected!
Woof Woof! 🐾
Bonjour, fabulous humans! It’s your favorite French Bulldogs duo, Boujee and Dapper, here to spill the latest gossip from our cozy dog beds. Waking up in the wee hours for a potty break isn’t our idea of fun, but our clever dad has found a brilliant solution—treats to get us moving! Now, when it’s way too late, he calls for treats, and suddenly, the night doesn’t seem so dark and chilly.
Boujee loves this new system; the sound of the treats calling can wake her from the deepest sleep, and she’s the first at the door ready for takeoff. I, Dapper, am a bit more selective; it has to be the right flavor, but honestly, just hand over the treats!
I’m also on a very important mission: watching over our littlest family member, Alyce. My love for her grows as she does, becoming taller and more curious every day. Whenever she’s in her crib, I make sure to face her because you never know when she might need me. Think of me as a bulldog in a snazzy collar, always on guard.
Meanwhile, Boujee is living her best life, always smiling and spreading love. She’s the epitome of joy, always ready for a belly rub or a playful chase. Both of us are thrilled to have such a wonderful little family. Between the midnight treats, the cuddles, and my vigilant guard duties, life is bustling and joyful. So here’s to many more treats and nights of being the lovable, loyal bulldogs we were born to be!
À bientôt, from the dog bed!
Boujee & Dapper ❤️
