Villlhelllm: How do You even Spell It?

If Our House Could Talk: the Great Car Seat Odyssey!

Greetings, dear readers! It’s your friendly neighborhood house here, sharing the latest scoop on the hilarious escapades of our inhabitants – the tall one, Damian, and the pregnant Kat. Buckle up (pun intended) for a tale of car seats, snacks, and YouTube tutorials!

Last Sunday marked a momentous occasion in our domestic history. Damian, the towering figure with a penchant for thinking all car seats are created equal, and Kat, the pregnant one with a flair for the extravagant, decided to tackle a task together. Little did they know, this was no ordinary feat; it was the Great Car Seat Odyssey!

Now, Damian, bless his tall soul, was convinced that all car seats share some universal language that only he, in his lofty wisdom, could understand. On the other hand, Kat, being the pregnant maestro of precision, had a clear vision of how this task should unfold. Spoiler alert: both of them failed spectacularly on their first attempt.

Picture this: a scene of confusion, a touch of desperation, and a sprinkle of “why did we think this was a good idea?” Trust us, folks, it was like watching a comedy duo trying to assemble a spaceship using IKEA instructions.

Enter snacks. Yes, because nothing says “let’s figure this out” like a bag of chips and a bowl of gummy bears. Fuel in hand, they huddled together to watch a couple of YouTube videos, hoping that the digital wizards of the internet could guide them through the car seat labyrinth.

As if the universe sensed the impending disaster, they realized they needed more layers. Yes, layers. Because apparently, car seat assembly is a chilly business, and layers are essential for proper cognitive function, or so Damian claimed.

But wait, there’s more. Kat, in her infinite wisdom (or perhaps it was pregnancy cravings), didn’t just pick any car seat. Oh no, she had to go for the Transformer of car seats, the one that metamorphoses into a stroller. Because who needs simplicity when you can have a vehicular Swiss Army knife?

Stay tuned, dear readers, as we assure you, a video documenting this epic adventure is in the works. Witness the highs, the lows, and the sheer absurdity of two adults grappling with the mysteries of car seat engineering.

Until then, this is your favorite abode signing off, wishing Damian and Kat the best of luck in their parenting endeavors. May their future endeavors be as entertaining as this one!

Behavior Change Statement

Damian here, with a little update from our collective corner of the world. It’s about time we had a chat about the tempo of our daily grind. You know, that relentless tick-tock that’s had us more in a rush than a New York minute. Well, I’m proposing a change, and it’s one we can all get behind:

“I am embracing a mindset of serenity and abundance in my approach to time, moving away from the rush and pressure that often lead to overlooking the moments that matter. I recognize the importance of being there for my family, friends, and colleagues. By intentionally shifting my outlook, I aim to build stronger, more loving relationships and be a pillar of support in their lives, just as I need them in mine.”

Here’s the Playbook:

Morning Thanks: Let’s hit the ground running with gratitude. Three things we’re grateful for, every morning, to get that abundance ball rolling.

Breath Breaks: I’m talking about scheduled serenity. A few times a day, let’s all just stop and take a deep breath. Trust me, the emails can wait.

Desk Retreats: Your workspace should be a mini-vacation spot. A plant, a photo, a doodle—anything that helps you channel those chill vibes.

And What We’re Kicking to the Curb:

Endless Lists: Let’s keep our to-dos tight and right. If it’s not essential, it’s not on there.

Inbox Insanity: We’ll check our messages at set times. Our attention is our currency, and I say we spend it wisely.

One at a Time: Multitasking is so 2020. We’re all about that laser focus now.

Cut the Clutter: If a task isn’t serving our peace or progress, it’s out.

Be the Change:

I want to hear from you. How are you bringing this mindset shift into your day? Your stories, your wins, could be just what someone else needs to hear to make their own change.

Let’s not just count the hours, but make the hours count. Here’s to slowing down to speed up, to finding depth in our breaths, and to creating a space where we all thrive together.

Catch you in the slower lane,

Damian 🌿⏳

Woof, Woof! 🐾

Bonjour, dear readers! It’s Boujee and Dapper, the dynamic duo of French Bulldogs, here to fill you in on the latest happenings in our fabulous lives. This week has been quite the adventure, and we can’t wait to share the highlights with you!

First things first, our beloved dad has been away in the windy city of Chicago. Now, don’t get us wrong, we love a little solo time to rule the roost, but we couldn’t help but notice the void in our lives without his daily cuddles and belly rubs. Rumor has it he’s been on a quest for something called Chick-Fil-A, and we’re starting to suspect he might be experiencing some pregnancy-like cravings. Who knew he could get those too?

Speaking of cravings, our dad has been talking non-stop about this elusive Chick-Fil-A, and we can’t help but wonder if it’s some magical treat that rivals our favorite snacks. We’ll have to investigate further upon his return.

Now, let’s talk about the weather. It seems like winter is tiptoeing its way into our lives, as evidenced by the disappearance of all the boats, even the majestic catamarans, from the docks at the Pier. The crisp air and the sound of leaves rustling under our paws remind us that sweater weather is upon us. Time to break out our finest canine couture!

But fear not, dear readers, for the highlight of our week is just around the corner – Friday! Why, you ask? Because that’s the day our dad returns home, and we can’t contain our excitement. Our tails are wagging with anticipation, and we’ve been practicing our snuggle techniques all week. The couch is fluffed, the blankets are arranged just right, and we are ready to shower him with all the love we’ve been saving up.

Oh, did we mention we’re counting down the weeks until we get to meet the newest addition to our pack? with the little one on the way, we’re already planning our roles as protective and loving older siblings.

So, it’s been a week filled with missing our dad, contemplating the mysteries of Chick-Fil-A, feeling the chill of winter approaching, protecting the pregnant Kat and eagerly awaiting the reunion on Friday. Life as Boujee and Dapper is an exciting rollercoaster. À la prochaine!
