Villlhelllm: How do You even Spell It?

Pawsitively Awesome 10K Adventure with Boujee and Dapper!

Hello Friends,

We hope this newsletter entry finds you all in high spirits and wagging tails (or at least as close to tails as you can get)! We’ve got an exciting story to share with you all about our recent day trip to the enchanting Cootes Paradise, and it involves our two four-legged fur babies, Boujee and Dapper.

You see, being proud owners of French Bulldogs, going on long walks has always been a bit of a challenge for us. Those adorable little legs and the breathing issues that come with the breed won’t make an Olympic sprinter out of any Frenchie owner. But fear not, because we’ve stumbled upon a game-changing solution: the magical invention known as a the Wagon!

Yes, we are now the proud wagon-pushers for Boujee and Dapper, and let us tell you, it’s been a life-changer. Picture it: a sunny day, the breathtaking beauty of Cootes Paradise, and the joyful sound of our dogs barking with excitement as we strolled along on our first-ever 10K walk. Well, to be precise, we were walking, and Boujee and Dapper were riding in style!

Our trusty wagon not only allows our little adventurers to join in on the fun but also conveniently carries all of our stuff, from snacks to water bottles to the all-important squeaky toys. It’s like a doggie limo service with ample storage – a win-win for everyone!

What inspired us to take on this new, active lifestyle was Katerina’s Dad and stepmom, who have embraced a European way of life filled with hiking and skiing. They’re true adventurers, and we thought, “Why not us?” The wagon was our answer to keeping our beloved Frenchies involved in our newfound activities.

Besides giving our fur babies the time of their lives, this adventure turned out to be quite the workout for Katerina and me. Who knew that pulling and pushing a wagon could be so challenging? We felt like we were in a cross-fit class for wagon enthusiasts! It’s all part of our master plan, though – the wagon serves as excellent practice for the arrival of our soon-to-be human addition. We figure if we can handle two French Bulldogs in a wagon, a baby should be a piece of cake, right?

So, our grand plan is set: an active lifestyle for our growing family, including the dogs and the baby. We’re looking forward to more outdoor adventures, maybe even some “pawsome” baby-wagon-dog races (for fun, of course), and, who knows, perhaps Boujee and Dapper will become the neighborhood’s most famous wagon-riding Frenchie duo.

If you ever see us out and about with our wagon, be sure to wave hello to the “Frenchie Express.” We’re on a mission to prove that you can have it all – fresh air, exercise, and a whole lot of laughter, with a dash of French Bulldog charm thrown in for good measure.

If Our House Could Talk: Home Automation aka Switch the Switch!

It’s me, your favorite place on the planet – the house! I’ve got some hilarious stories to share about the tall one, Damian, and the Kat, who have been living under my roof for about six months now. Buckle up for a rollercoaster of laughter, automation dreams, and naps in the third trimester!

Let’s start with the tall one, shall we? Damian, as he likes to be called, is quite the character. One day, he had a dream, and it wasn’t your typical “chasing flying cupcakes” kind of dream. No, it was an automation dream! You see, Damian had this brilliant idea to automate some of my switches. Lights, fans, you name it – he wanted them all to respond to his magical commands. I must admit, I was intrigued.

However, there was a small hiccup in Damian’s grand plan. He had only managed to automate a couple of switches before realizing he had ordered a whole box of smart switches! I mean, seriously, a whole box? If we keep going at this rate, we might as well open a smart switch automation store right here in the living room! I can already picture it: “Damian’s Switch-O-Matic Emporium – Where Your House Listens to You (Sometimes).”

But wait, there’s more! Damian soon discovered that automation isn’t as easy as it seems. It’s not just a matter of sticking a few wires together and yelling at your smartphone to turn on the lights. No, no, it requires a vast amount of electrical knowledge and countless YouTube videos to figure it out. I’ve seen him spend hours watching tutorials, and honestly, I’m convinced he knows more about voltage than he does about his own birthday!

Now, let’s talk about the Kat – not a literal cat, but Damian’s lovely partner. She’s in her third trimester, and boy, does she take naps! I mean, who can blame her? Between work, work missions, baby nesting, and trying to help the tall one when she thinks she can help, it’s a wonder she’s still standing. Or should I say, napping?

The Kat’s attempts at helping Damian with the automation project are nothing short of hilarious. She’ll confidently chime in with her ideas, thinking she’s solving all our problems, only to leave Damian scratching his head in bewilderment. It’s like watching a comedy show right here in the house, and I can’t get enough of it!

But despite all the craziness and shenanigans, I have to admit, I love having Damian, the Kat, and their furry friends under my roof. They bring life, laughter, and a whole lot of chaos to my otherwise static existence. And hey, who knows, maybe one day they’ll finally get all those smart switches working, and I’ll become the smartest house on the street!

Woof, Woof! 🐾

Bonjour, fellow dog lovers and curious humans! It’s us, Boujee and Dapper, the two French bulldogs who run the show in this blog! Today, we’re here to share all the exciting things that have been happening in our lives lately.

First things first, it was Kat’s birthday last week, and boy, did we have a blast! You see, we’ve been in on our dad’s secret plot to find her the perfect birthday presents and write heartfelt birthday cards. Don’t let our squishy faces fool you; we’re experts in the art of gift-giving! Kat was over the moon with joy, and we got extra belly rubs as a reward for our top-notch assistance.

As much as we enjoyed being part of the birthday festivities, we also missed our beloved Kat when she had to go on a work mission to Ottawa this week. We may be tough on the outside (well, Boujee is; Dapper is a total softie), but we’re total suckers for our human. Her absence gave us a chance to spend some quality time with our dad, which was awesome – don’t tell Kat!

But, we have to admit, as much fun as we had with dad, there’s nothing quite like the sight of Kat walking through that door after a few days away. We greeted her with our signature giggly butt dances – you know, the ones where we wiggle our behinds like there’s no tomorrow. It’s our way of saying, “We missed you, Kat!”

Now, let’s talk about our favorite part of going out these days – the wagon! You see, we Frenchies have those adorable smushed faces, which, while incredibly charming, can make breathing a bit of a challenge, especially in the hot weather. That’s where the wagon comes to the rescue. It’s like a mobile lounge where we can comfortably enjoy the scenery without getting too hot and bothered. It’s a game-changer for us, and we couldn’t be happier.

As fall finally begins, we’re looking forward to more adventures. The crisp air, falling leaves, and the promise of cozy evenings by the fireplace have us all excited. We’ll be donning our cute sweaters and exploring the great outdoors with our humans. There’s something magical about this season, and we can’t wait to be a part of it.

Life is pretty pawsome for us, we get to shower our humans with love, enjoy the simple pleasures of a wagon ride, and share in all the exciting moments life brings our way.

Until next time, keep your tails wagging and your wagons rolling!

With love and laughter,

Boujee and Dapper ❤️
