Villlhelllm: How do You even Spell It?

If Our House Could Talk: The front Garden

It’s me the house, reporting in from the trenches of “Projectville”. Katerina and Damian, the dynamic duo of DIY, have been keeping me on my metaphorical toes with their never-ending list of projects.

I have to say, these two are quite the project enthusiasts! They’ve got about five going at once, and they’re already planning for the next five. It’s like a never-ending game of home improvement bingo!

This week, they finally conquered the front garden redesign, a saga that began innocently enough with the purchase of four bags of black mulch back in April. The original plan? Simply sprinkle some new mulch on top of the old to freshen things up. Keep it simple, right? Well, not for these two.

Fast forward to autumn, and there they were, staring at those same four bags of mulch that had sat there all summer. Suddenly, a wild plan appeared! They decided the garden needed a complete makeover, saying goodbye to most of the existing plants. Apparently, they’ve taken a liking to the whole “grass on concrete” aesthetic. Go figure!

Now, Damian, bless his heart, has a soft spot for flora. He couldn’t bear the thought of sending them to the great garden in the sky. So, off he went, relocating plants to the backyard like a horticultural hero. I swear, this guy must’ve inherited his perpetual motion gene from his mom. He just can’t sit still! There’s always something to dig up, some way to make things even better.

Well, folks, it looks like our Garden is gearing up for a fabulous spring in 2024. Because, you know, it’s never too early to start planning or too late to make improvements!

Stay tuned for more wild tales from the home front. Until next time, keep on sprucing and planting!

Secret Beach Oasis

It’s easy to forget just how connected we are to nature, especially when we live in urban environments. Yet, we’ve come to realize that our home isn’t just surrounded by nature; it’s nestled right in the heart of it. We’re fortunate to not only have parks and lush greenery nearby but also a marina with a waterfront trail. But wait, there’s more – we also have our very own beach!

Yes, you read that correctly – a beach, right in our neighborhood. Admittedly, it’s an artificial beach, but it still provides us with moments of tranquility and pure joy during our night walks with our beloved Frenchies.

Our nightly routine is a true testament to the bond between humans and their furry companions. The dogs eagerly anticipate their adventure to our secret beach, and they don’t have to walk all the way there – they ride in the wagon, which makes our journey there even more delightful. With the dogs comfortably in tow, we can stroll at a brisk human pace and reach our little oasis in no time.

Once we arrive, we settle down to enjoy the mesmerizing water view and the soothing serenity of the night. It’s a moment of blissful escape from the noise and stress of everyday life.

Dapper has mastered the art of sand-digging. When the night air gets a bit too warm for his liking, he digs a shallow, cool sand pit to rest in – a skill he’s clearly acquired lately. Watching him snuggle into the sand is a heartwarming sight that never fails to make us smile.

As for Boujee, she’s the queen of people watching. With her keen eyes and inquisitive nature, she keeps a close watch on everyone passing by.

These night walks to our secret beach have become a cherished tradition for our little family. They remind us that even in the midst of urban life, we can find pockets of nature that provide solace, beauty, and simple happiness. It’s in these quiet moments that we’re reminded of the beauty that surrounds us and the love we share with our four-legged companions.

Woof, Woof! 🐾

Salut, everyone! It’s Boujee and Dapper with bits of our pawsitively fabulous lives. Life is good, mes amis, and it’s about time you all knew it!

First things first, our humans. Oh, how we adore them! They shower us with endless love, belly rubs, and, wait for it… our very own wagon! Yep, you read that right. We’re living the dream, riding in style whenever we please. It’s like a chariot, and we’re the royal canines of the neighborhood.

Now, let’s talk about our humans’ latest obsessions. It’s quite comical, really. Our dad has taken up this new hobby of digging up the plants in the backyard and then sprinting from the back to the front yard like a madman. We’ve tried to join in the fun, but our stubby legs just can’t keep up. We’re not sure what he’s looking for, but he sure is having a blast.

As for our dear Kat, she’s been quite the busy bee lately. She’s either helping Dad with his grassy antics or bringing in heaps of tiny clothes and toys for the baby. We’ve noticed Boujee’s been getting a tad curious around those baby piles, wondering if she could stealthily snatch a tiny sock or a squeaky toy. Hey, we’re just adding to our toy collection, right?

But let’s not forget our absolute favorite moments – our nightly escapades. We live for the quiet of the night walks with our humans. The streets are calm, the air is cool, and there’s something magical about the world bathed in moonlight. And then, there’s our secret beach! Sure, it might be artificial, but that doesn’t take away from the joy it brings us. The sand between our paws, the gentle lapping of the lake waves, and the breeze – it’s doggy heaven!

As fall approaches, we’re eagerly giggling in anticipation. The crisp air, the rustling leaves, and the earthy scents – it’s the perfect season for new walks and new adventures!

So, les amis, as we sign off from this little doggy diary entry, we want you to know that life is indeed good. With love from our humans, wagon rides, dad’s grassy chaos, Kat’s heists, and the serenity of the night walks on our secret beach, we’re living our best doggy lives. And we can’t wait to see what fall has in store for us – more treats, and endless fun! Γ€ la prochaine, dear friends!
