Villlhelllm: How do You even Spell It?
Life Update: Our First Harvest!
From the moment we set foot in Terra Nurseries in Hamilton (shout out to the team!), Damian and I knew our home harvest journey was about to begin. As much as we love gardens, we prefer to plant veggies that we can harvest throughout the summer rather than at the end.
We carefully selected the freshest, most vibrant salad greens, envisioning the delicious meals they would become. With tender care and a sprinkle of nature’s magic, we watched our salad greens thrive. Each day, we lovingly tended to them, basking in the warmth of the sun and the satisfaction of nurturing life. The tiny sprouts we planted soon grew into a lush sea of green, their leaves reaching towards the sky with exuberant energy.
Then came the long-awaited moment—the time to harvest our homegrown bounty. Armed with a pair of scissors, Damian and I delicately snipped off vibrant leaves, savoring the crispness of each one. The earthy aroma filled the air as we collected a plentiful assortment of flavorful greens.
In the kitchen, the true culinary adventure began. We washed the freshly harvested leaves, their dew-like droplets glistening in the light. As we chopped and tossed, we assembled a salad that was a testament to our love for homegrown goodness.
But, Boujee and Dapper, had a surprise in store for Katerina. Despite being meat-loving companions, they also apparently have a vegetarian side. As we prepared our leafy creation, they gave us curious sniffs and longing gazes. We prepared a small portion for them and their eyes widened with delight as they devoured the treat!

If Our House Could Talk: Ok, google goodbye! Wait, what another doorbell?
Welcome to the Villhelms, where we’re always on the lookout for the perfect doorbell! Damian’s obsession with doorbells is no secret, and unfortunately, our latest doorbell adventure with Google has come to an end. While the doorbell looked great and worked with our Google Homes, it requires an $8/month subscription for cloud storage. Without a subscription, the device is limited, we thought we could make it work but it’s not for us. We don’t know about you, but we’re over subscriptions! In our newsletter #14, we mentioned a package being stolen from our front porch. We caught the thief on camera, but by the time we got home, the footage had vanished from Google. So, it’s time for us to say “Ok, Google goodbye!” and move on to the next doorbell.
But fear not, fellow Villlhelllmians! If you’re invested in the Google Nest Ecosystem and are in need of a new doorbell, leave us a comment or stay tuned for a possible giveaway. We may have moved on, but we’re always happy to help out our fellow doorbell enthusiasts.
As always, thanks for following along on our doorbell journey. Who knows where it will take us next?
Another?! Another Visitor!
Amidst the hustle and bustle of our move from downtown Toronto to our new house in Hamilton, a visit from Kat’s boss, Wendy, filled our day with joy. She graciously offered to bring back some of the furniture we had left behind for her to use in Kat’s apartment. It was a kind gesture that not only saved us time and effort but also showed Wendy’s thoughtfulness and generosity.
Alongside her, Wendy visited with Mary Ellen, adding an extra layer of warmth to the visit. We greeted them at our doorstep with open arms, feeling an instant sense of comfort and familiarity. It was a special reunion, knowing that they had taken the time out of their busy schedules to lend a helping hand and offer their support during this transitional period.
As luck would have it, Mary Ellen’s birthday fell on the day before their visit. We seized the opportunity to make the occasion even more memorable. Gathering around, we offered some cake to honor Mary Ellen’s special day.

Woof Woof! 🐾
Woof woof, Boujee and Dapper reporting in! We’ve got an incredible tale to share about our pawsome day at Kat’s office in downtown Toronto. Our dad, Damian, was away this week, which meant we had the paw-tastic opportunity to embark on a downtown adventure with Kat. Not only did we get to revisit our favorite pee spot in Liberty Village, but we also had the chance to meet Kat’s colleagues and spend an entire day in meetings with them. Woof, it was a whirlwind of a day!
Kat’s office is located in downtown Toronto, nestled within a bustling shared space called WeWork. The moment we stepped into the building, we could feel the electric energy in the air. The community manager at the reception greeted us with a warm smile and plenty of pets, setting the tone for the amazing day ahead. We wagged our mini tails in excitement, knowing that this would be an extraordinary adventure.
As we made our way up to the fourth floor, we unleashed our charm upon Kat’s colleagues. Belly rubs, ear scratches, and treats flowed like a river. Our presence brought smiles to everyone’s faces, and we reveled in the joy of being adored. It was incredible to see how our furry presence brightened their day.
But wait, there’s more! We were not just mere observers at Kat’s office. We were invited to attend the meetings too! We trotted alongside Kat from one conference room to another, providing our furry support and accepting pets from the meeting participants. We couldn’t resist stealing the spotlight a couple of times, eliciting laughter and applause. Who knew dogs could be such great meeting companions?
One of the pawsome perks of being in a shared space like WeWork was the opportunity to explore all five floors. From the ground floor to the top, we roamed the building, soaking up pets, friendly sniffs, and even a few treats from the kind-hearted folks working in various companies. It was like a petting paradise!
Before wrapping up our adventure, we made a special stop to visit our beloved Grandma. Our mini tails wagged with joy upon seeing her familiar face, and we exchanged kisses and cuddles. It was a heartwarming reunion that added the perfect touch to our already amazing day. But all the excitement and love we received took its toll, and we found ourselves dozing off in the car on the way back home. We needed a well-deserved nap after such an exhilarating and exhausting day.
In conclusion, our day at Kat’s office in downtown Toronto was a woofing success! From cruising through the bustling streets to meeting Kat’s colleagues and joining meetings, we felt like true professionals. WeWork proved to be a petting paradise on every floor, with treats and wagging tails at every turn. It was a day filled with love, adventure, and new friendships. We are truly grateful for this unforgettable experience and can’t wait for more exciting escapades in the future. Keep wagging your tails and making the world a better place, one paw at a time! Woof woof! ❤️
