Villlhelllm: How do You even Spell It?

Life Update: David’s & Asha’s Wedding 💍

Last week, we had the pleasure of attending our friends David and Asha’s wedding. It was an unforgettable evening that we were fortunate enough to be a part of! The festivities were spread over two nights, and we decided to attend the Friday night celebration.

From the moment we arrived, we could feel the excitement and love in the air. The dinner was a feast for the senses, and we were impressed by the attention to detail in every aspect of the wedding. But what truly stood out was the joyful atmosphere, and the celebration of David and Asha’s love and commitment to each other.

And of course, we can’t forget to mention the coordination between Damian’s tie and laces and my dress. It was a sight to behold, and added an extra touch of elegance to the evening. It’s always great to attend a wedding with a partner who shares your excitement for dancing and sense of style.

The dance floor was another highlight of the evening, and we had a blast dancing the night away. The DJ played a mix of old and new songs that had everyone on their feet, and we couldn’t help but feel grateful to be a part of such a joyous occasion.

Overall, it was a great evening! We wish David and Asha a lifetime of happiness together and hope to celebrate many more milestones with them in the future!

If Our House Could Talk: Just one more plant! 🌱

We wanted to share some exciting news with you all. Damian has rediscovered his love for plants! Recently, we visited a nearby nursery and let’s just say Damian wanted to take every plant home! We got a new Fiddle Fig plant (which is huge), a bird of paradise plant, and new pots for our current plants. We even returned the pots we bought two weeks ago because the new ones were better valued and looked better. We currently have just over 40 indoor plants, with 23 of them being orchids!

But it’s not just indoor plants that we got. We also got lettuce, chives, thyme, spearmint, and more for our garden. Speaking of which, the house came with a well-kept garden (So many Hostas), and as it’s spring, new plants are starting to come out of the ground. Every day is a surprise, and we’ve been doing Google searches to find out what new plants we have.

Gardening has become our new adventure, and we’re excited to see where it takes us. We’ll keep you posted on any new plant updates.

Investing: The first step is the hardest. The hardest step is to start! 📈

This week, Kat and I discussed the daunting task of investing in the stock market. I shared my personal rules for investing, emphasizing the importance of starting as early as possible and approaching investment as a long-term journey.

While I’m not an investment guru, I’ve learned a thing or two along the way and enjoy sharing my knowledge. My only regret is not starting earlier. The type of investing I’m talking about isn’t day trading or get-rich-quick schemes but rather creating a system that works over time and becoming more knowledgeable about the world around us.

So, what are my rules for investing? First and foremost, start as early as you can. I approach investing like I was buying any goods or service – I look for deals and innovative companies with disruptive technologies and strategies. As for my investment portfolio breakdown, I aim for 60% index funds, a mix of 40% bonds/bank stocks, and 10% riskier investments such as stocks or bitcoin.

Also, if the mainstream media is talking about it, you may have missed the boat. By the way, no one’s talking about Bitcoin, so now could be a good time to invest (but only if you’re willing to lose every penny you put in).

Regarding investment accounts, I recommend having an RSP (401K) and a TFSA (Roth IRA) as they are tax-sheltered accounts that can help grow your investments even faster. It’s not about the amount you save but rather getting into the habit of paying yourself first with every paycheck. Of course, unexpected expenses will arise, so don’t be too hard on yourself if you can’t invest as much as you’d like.

Remember, investing is a long-term journey, and the most important step is getting started.

Frenchie Update 🐾

Woof, woof! Boujee and Dapper here! So here it is: we LOVE our new house!

Dapper, especially, loves hanging out in the bedroom by the window when it’s sunny. He loves basking in the warm sunshine and watching the world go by. Boujee, on the other hand, is more interested in what’s happening on the street. She loves keeping an eye on everything that’s going on, and we can always count on her to alert us if there’s anything out of the ordinary.

We were so proud of ourselves when our humans, Kat and Damian, were away at a wedding and we had the house to ourselves. We had so much fun playing with our toys and having the run of the house. We even took care of each other, just like our humans take care of us. We’re pretty proud of ourselves for being such responsible doggos!

All in all, life is pretty good for us here. We’re happy, comfortable, and surrounded by love. What more could we ask for? We hope you’re all doing well and sending lots of love and goggly butts your way! ❤️
