Villlhelllm: How do You even Spell It?
Life Update: Never give up, you are closer than you think! 🤩
One of my favorite sayings is “just keep swimming” and never give up. While working on a project for our rental, I was making no progress. I started to doubt myself and was about to call it quits. Then, my friend Moe and my brother surprised me with a visit. Moe asked probing questions that helped me work through the problem step by step, and I had an “aha” moment. If I had not talked to Moe about my problem, I would have given up, and I was so close.
Remember to talk to someone, no matter what the problem is. They may not have the solution, but 90% of the time, the solution is within you. You just might need a little help finding it.

Another American Visit! ✈️
My brother V was visiting Canada for some work meetings, and I was thrilled when he mentioned that he’d have some time to come visit us in Hamilton. This would be his first time visiting us at the new house, and I was excited to show him around our little corner of the world.
The best part of his visit was that it was the first time he met our beloved Boujee and Dapper. They took to my brother immediately, and it was great to see them bonding over belly rubs.
To celebrate V’s visit, I’ve decided to whip up some delicious Czech food for dinner and spent the afternoon in the kitchen making homemade chicken schnitzel and potato salad. These two classic Czech dishes are sure to please. The food turned out pretty good, and everyone was delighted.
Unfortunately, V’s visit was too short as he had to head back to Waterloo for work the next day. But we were glad to have been able to spend some quality time with him and introduce him to the dogs. We look forward to his next visit, hopefully with a little more time to explore the sights and sounds of Hamilton!

If Our House Could Talk: The Leak Follow-up!
Do you remember couple weeks ago, we had a house leak situation? This week, we took some time to roll up our sleeves and get to the bottom of things. And let me tell you, we’ve been having a blast!
As we dove deeper into the problem, we realized that the toilet parts we needed to replace weren’t exactly easy to find in North America. But instead of getting discouraged, we decided to approach the situation with a sense of humor and some DIY spirit.
We’ve been having a blast working on this leaky toilet project! We’re like a couple of Sherlock Holmeses, following clues and piecing together the mystery of the malfunctioning loo. It’s amazing how a little problem like this can bring so much laughter into our lives.
But all kidding aside, we’re making real progress and feeling confident that we can fix this leak once and for all. And who knows, maybe we’ll become toilet part experts by the end of it!
So if you’re ever in need of some good old-fashioned fun, just come on over and join us on our leaky toilet adventure. We promise it’ll be a hoot!

Impromptu Visitors – Be Aware! 🔦
Picture this: a surprise visit from our dear friend Simone! We were thrilled to hear that she was in the area and wanted to swing by for a quick hello. But unfortunately, life had other plans and we were out of the house when she arrived.
What happened next was a bit of a comedy of errors. You see, Simone wanted to leave a little surprise gift for us in the backyard. But as soon as she took a couple of steps towards the house, she was greeted by our cameras.
Poor Simone! We can only imagine how startled she must have been to find herself on camera. We’re so sorry that we weren’t there to greet her properly and put her at ease.
But fear not, Simone! We promise that we’re not secretly running a high-security compound over here. We’re just a couple of goofballs with a camera system that’s a bit too enthusiastic for its own good.
We hope that you’ll forgive us for scaring you off and that you’ll come back to visit us again soon. We promise to be on our best behavior (and to make sure the security cameras are properly disarmed). Until then, we’ll be eagerly awaiting your next impromptu visit. With love, Katerina & Damian!

Birthdays: April 🎈🎈🎈
We wanted to take a quick moment to give a special shoutout to two special people, who just celebrated their birthday this past April. Happy birthday to Kat’s dad and brother, Charlie! Wishing you all the joy and health for the year ahead ❤️
If you had a birthday in April and you didn’t get a shoutout from us, don’t worry – it just means we don’t have your birthday on file. If you want to get in on the action and have us celebrate you in the future, just send us your birthdate, and we’ll make sure to give you a big shoutout when your special day rolls around!
Woof Woof: Frenchie Update 🐾
It’s Boujee and Dapper here, reporting live from our cozy little corner of the world. We’ve been having a blast lately, getting to know some new family members that we’ve never met before. It’s always so exciting to make new friends and see new faces!
But we have to admit, the weather hasn’t been on our side lately. All this rain is really putting a damper on our outdoor adventures. Boujee, in particular, is not a fan of getting her paws wet. She’s more of a “sunbathing on the patio” kind of gal. But we’re trying not to let the rain get us down. After all, there’s still plenty of fun to be had inside!
We’ve also been slowly discovering the backyard, which is pretty much a jungle-like plants paradise. There are all kinds of interesting smells and sights to explore, and we’re looking forward to getting to know every inch of it. Who knows, maybe we’ll even discover some hidden treasures out there!
All in all, life is pretty great here in our little doggy world. We may not be able to control the weather, but we can control how much fun we have. And with so many new people and places to discover, we’re pretty sure that the good times will keep on rolling. Woof! ❤️
