Back from Europe for two weeks, 17-month-old Alyce is savouring home comforts, a cozy 'shum' bedtime buddy, and a new upcoming swallow study. She's stringing words together, adores saying 'Dapsss,' and has just discovered the backyard.

Hi there! It's me, Alyce! I'm 17 months old, and oh my goodness, so much has happened since I last shared my adventures with you. 💕

I’ve been back from Europe for two whole weeks, and I’m having the best time ever! I missed my cozy home, my toys, and especially my family. But now that I’m back, I’m eating all the yummy food—like pasta, fruit, and even some treats! 🍝🍓🍪

So, here's something new: I have a bedtime buddy now! It's a piece of "shum." I don't eat it, I just hold it while Mommy reads me a story. It's so comforting, and I think it helps me drift off to sleep with a big smile. 😊

I have a swallow study coming up in a couple of weeks, and I’m super excited! I think I’ve made lots of progress. And guess what? I get to go to the hospital for snacks instead of being poked! That makes me happy. 🍎

This week, I learned a new word: "Dapsss" (that's Dapper with three "s"s because he's extra special to me!). I love saying it over and over. And I can say a couple of words together now! 🗣️

Oh, and guess what? I discovered the backyard! Last year, I was in my high chair on the patio, watching Mommy and Daddy do their thing. Now, I’m standing on the grass, holding Daddy’s tools, and running after him with leaves in my hands. It’s so much fun! I can't wait for summer, the patio to be open, and for my own backyard furniture and sandbox. 🏡
