Villlhelllm: How do You even Spell It?

Tiny Tales from Alyce’s Weekly Wonders: There is a World Outside!

Hello everyone! It’s me, Alyce, here to share some exciting news from my home. This week, I experienced something totally new and thrilling – I went for my very first walk outside! It was such an adventure. Just before my feed, Mom and Dad took me out, and guess what? I got to lay on top of the dog’s wagon! Both of our furry friends were so curious about why they couldn’t be inside with me. Boujee wasn’t too happy about it, but I think they understood once they saw my oxygen tank safely nestled inside.

As we strolled along, I couldn’t help but gaze in wonder at everything around me. From the boats swaying at the pier to the cars zooming by and the towering buildings, there was so much to see! Life is pretty amazing, isn’t it?

On the health front, Mom and Dad have been keeping a close eye on me, as always. I’ve started using Atropine, which is a medication usually given as eye drops, but in my case, it helps dry out secretions. It’s all part of making sure I stay healthy and comfortable. They’re logging everything and making sure I eat well and feel safe at home. This week was also special because it was time for my NG tube change. While the nurse was getting everything ready, Mom and Dad decided to capture the moment with a few family pictures and selfies. It was a lovely reminder that life without wires and tubes is something to celebrate! And guess what? During our little impromptu photoshoot, I even managed to sneak in a tiny smile. It’s moments like these that make all the challenges worth it. Here’s to more smiles and precious family memories ahead!

Well, that’s all for now from me, the curious little explorer. Thanks for following along on my journey through life – I can’t wait to share more adventures with you all soon!

Oh, and before I go, I have some exciting news to share about the vote for my favorite nickname! Last week, Mom and Dad asked everyone to vote, and the results are in. It was a tough competition! “Big Toe Puck” got 13% of the votes, thanks to Dad’s creative suggestion. “Fatty Bumbum” was another contender, with 33% of the votes, also thanks to Dad’s playful idea.

But guess what? The big winner, with a whopping 53% of the votes, is “Madame Madame”! That nickname, suggested by Mom, seems to have stolen everyone’s hearts. It looks like I’ll be known as Madame Madame from now on. Thanks, Mom and Dad, for coming up with such fun nicknames and to everyone who voted!

Love,

Alyce, I mean…Madame Madame 💕

Decluttering, Boundaries, and Balance

In our journey of decluttering, setting boundaries, and finding balance, we’re reminded of the age-old tale of Eli and his farm—a story that resonates deeply with the path we’re navigating within our own household. Just as Eli faced the monumental task of maintaining his dam to safeguard his cherished farm, we, too, are learning the importance of addressing the essentials, prioritizing well-being, and embracing community spirit in our daily lives.

Eli’s farm, nestled in a lush valley, thrived under his careful stewardship, protected by an ancient dam that kept the river’s mighty forces at bay. This dam, a bulwark against potential floods, required constant vigilance and maintenance. However, after a particularly severe storm season, Eli noticed cracks forming in the dam’s facade. These were small yet ominous signs of potential disaster. Focused on the immediate demands of his harvest, Eli decided to postpone the necessary repairs, reassuring himself there was still time.

This decision to delay critical maintenance in favor of short-term tasks had dire consequences. As the cracks widened, water began to seep through, bringing with it unwelcome visitors—alligators—that ventured into the valley and onto Eli’s farm. Their presence transformed his haven of productivity into a landscape fraught with danger, where every shadow and rustle became a potential threat.

The safety of the farm and its community was compromised, forcing Eli to confront the results of his procrastination head-on. In a bid to rectify his mistake, he rallied his neighbors, drawing on their sense of unity and shared responsibility. Together, they undertook the urgent task of repairing the dam. Their collective effort not only averted the crisis but also reinforced the dam stronger than before, proving the power of community and proactive action.

Reflecting on this experience, Eli became a vocal advocate for timely action and communal support, often sharing his story as a cautionary tale. “Do not wait for the storm to pass to fix your roofs, nor for the river to rise to mend your dams,” he would advise, emphasizing the importance of foresight and collective well-being over individual gain.

Drawing inspiration from Eli’s story, we see parallels in our own lives. Damian’s dedication to transforming the house into a smart home and Katerina’s commitment to setting boundaries for Alyce’s sake are reflections of our understanding that maintaining our space and well-being requires both immediate action and strategic planning. It’s a lesson in not only managing our physical environment but also in nurturing the bonds that keep us strong as a family and a community.

As we continue to declutter, set boundaries, and seek balance, let us carry the lessons from Eli’s farm in our hearts. It’s a reminder that in the stewardship of our domains—be they as vast as a valley or as intimate as our home—lies a deeper connection to each other and the world around us. Through foresight, unity, and diligence, we find not just safety and prosperity but also a profound sense of belonging and purpose.

Here’s to embracing the wisdom of past tales in our modern journey, learning from Eli’s experience to navigate our own challenges with grace, determination, and a spirit of togetherness.

Woof Woof! 🐾

Salut les amis! It is I, Boujee, the fabulous French bulldog with a penchant for all things posh and pampered, accompanied by my dashing companion, Doctor Dapper. We are back with more tales from our boujee lives, filled with humor, love, and a dash of chaos.

Nurse Boujee and Doctor Dapper reporting for duty! This week, our doting dads surprised us with a new addition to our humble abode: a blackout carrier. Oh là là, let me tell you, it’s like having a luxury bed with a built-in curtain! We can now relax in peace, away from the prying eyes of the pesky squirrels outside. It’s the little things in life, les amis, that bring us the most joy.

Speaking of joy, Dapper has been feeling more comfortable around our tiny human companion, baby Alyce. He’s really taken a shine to her and loves checking on her more often now. When she lets out one of her adorable cries, Dapper springs into action! Well, sort of. He’s mastered the art of jumping onto the sofa to comfort her… or perhaps to snatch her beloved toy, “Tony” the giraffe. Hey, a dog’s gotta have some fun, non?

But wait, there’s more excitement in our world! Imagine our surprise when the dads and Kat (our other loyal servant) took out the wagon for a spin, but without us! Sacré bleu! Turns out, it was for Alyce’s first walk. We were positively beside ourselves with anticipation. It’ll take us a couple more walks to figure out how to be protective of Alyce on the streets, but we’re up for the challenge.

Picture it: the entire family strolling down the sidewalk, with Alyce snug in her stroller, the dads pushing, and us, Boujee and Dapper, trotting alongside with Kat. It’s a sight to behold, les amis. A true spectacle of love and companionship, complete with a stroller, oxygen tank (for Alyce, of course), and the occasional bark of approval from yours truly.

Until next time la famille, au revoir!

Boujee & Dapper ❤️
