Hello Vilhelmians,

It’s Damian here, and today I’m excited to share something very personal – my love for storytelling through film. This passion has been a part of me for years, quietly growing in the background. It’s an intersection of my two loves: storytelling and technology, a match truly made in heaven.

Let me take you back a few years. I was a bit younger, a bit more adventurous, and certainly up at all hours of the night with my friends. During one of those wild nights, I decided to capture our antics on camera, not realizing that this would turn into a cherished memory. This short film was for a contest held by a famous Toronto nightclub that was closing down. The challenge was to tell our “GUV story”.

I reached out to friends, collecting their tales, and dove into my phone’s archives. What I found was a treasure trove of memories. With only five days to enter the contest, I worked tirelessly, day and night, to weave these stories into a short film. Although I didn’t win the contest, what I created was something far more valuable – a snapshot of a fleeting moment in my life, one that still resonates with me and others.

Why am I bringing this up now? Well, as Katerina and I embark on this incredible new chapter of expecting our first child, I want to tell new stories. And the best part? Kat is joining me in this filmmaking adventure. We’re not aiming for polished perfection; we’re capturing life as it is – imperfect, spontaneous, and real.

A Ticking Clock!

We have reached the 39-week milestone, the countdown to the arrival of our precious addition continues and week after week, new faces in our lives continue to shower us with love, and for this, we are extremely thankful and grateful. Your attention and messages touch our hearts deeply. The outpouring of love and support from our ‘village’ leaves us humbled and overwhelmed. Your generosity through our baby registry leaves us speechless, and we extend our heartfelt thanks for your thoughtful gifts and well-wishes.

Hey paw-some pals! Boujee and Dapper here, the dynamic French Bulldog duo, reporting live from the comfiest spots in the house. It’s been one whirlwind of a week, and let us tell you, things have been moving faster than a squirrel being chased through the backyard (oh Dapper…)!

First things first, our human, Kat, has been on maternity leave. Now, you might be thinking, “What does that mean for Boujee and Dapper?” Well, it means more attention, more naps, and definitely more belly rubs! Kat has been keeping herself busy, but she’s also been the queen of nap time, joining us in our favorite lounging spots for some serious relaxation sessions.

But that’s not all, folks! This week marked a special occasion for our dad—it’s his last week at work before some well-deserved time off. We can practically smell the excitement in the air! We’ve heard rumors of extended playtime, extra treats, and, of course, the potential for even more glorious naps. We’re counting down the minutes until he’s all ours for some quality bonding time.

And speaking of changes in the house, there’s a new addition that’s caught our attention—the baby bassinet. Boujee thinks it’s the perfect spot for lounging under, providing just the right amount of shade and comfort. Dapper, on the other paw, has taken on the role of guardian from a distance. He’s posted up in his favorite chair, keeping a watchful eye on the new arrival’s space.

Time is flying faster than a tossed frisbee, and we can hardly contain our excitement. Our humans have been buzzing around, making sure everything is just right for the arrival of the newest member of the pack.

The cherry on top? We might just be meeting the newest addition to the family next week! Can you imagine the joyous chaos that will ensue when we finally get to sniff and snuggle with the tiny human? We’re wagging our tails in anticipation! ❤️
