Villlhelllm: How do You even Spell It?

Embracing New Beginnings: Our Countdown to Parenthood

Hello, dear friends and family!

We made it to December! And, our anticipation and excitement keep growing. Many of you have been asking if we’re ready for our new addition, and the answer is, as ready as we can ever be! Katerina, at 38 weeks, is definitely more prepared than I am – she’s been an absolute superstar, nurturing our little one with so much love and care.

Our home in Hamilton feels more like a nest now, brimming with warmth and readiness for the arrival of our first child. The dogs seem to sense the change too, and their curiosity and excitement mirror ours.

We’re fortunate to have a break from our work passions, giving us precious time to bond with our baby. This pause is a gift, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the early days of parenthood.

So many of you have advised us to slow down and cherish every moment. “They grow up so fast,” you say, and we’re taking this to heart. We’re ready to savor each smile, each coo, fully aware that these moments are fleeting.

Yes, we expect sleepless nights, but as a night person, I might have a slight advantage (or so I hope!). We’re bracing ourselves for this new, beautiful, albeit tiring chapter.

We’re truly humbled and overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from our ‘village’. The generosity you’ve shown through our baby registry has left us speechless. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your thoughtful gifts and well-wishes.

As a token of our gratitude, we promise to inundate you with countless photos of our growing family. And yes, we might call upon you for some babysitting adventures – consider yourselves forewarned!

In closing, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your love and support. It means the world to us, and we can’t wait to introduce you to the newest member of our pack.

With love and appreciation,
Damian & Katerina (and the pups, too!)

Oh, Dapper!

It’s hard to believe, but our beloved Dapper just turned three! This past week has been a delightful whirlwind of celebration, reflecting on the journey we’ve had with him. From the moment our breeder called, suggesting a perfect pup for our family, to now, it’s been an adventure filled with laughter, learning, and lots of love.

I vividly recall thinking, “Two dogs? Surely not!” Yet, the moment I laid eyes on Dapper, I was smitten. He might have been tiny, but his presence was anything but small. Those of you who’ve met Dapper know exactly what I’m talking about. He’s a bundle of curiosity, mischief, and a gentle soul.

Our hikes with him have become legendary, especially for his fondness for skunks. Yes, every three months or so, Dapper finds himself a new ‘skunky friend,’ and we’re reminded of the essence of unconditional love. Cleaning a skunk-sprayed dog has taught us patience and the true meaning of commitment.

Dapper has been more than just a pet; he’s a vital part of our family. His snores, which might annoy others, are our lullaby. He seems to have a sixth sense, always there to comfort us with his presence or a playful nudge when we’re feeling down. His cuddles during naps are the best, and his love for playing is unmatched.

Oh, and let’s talk about his speed! In our family races, Dapper is the undisputed champion, even outrunning Mike (sorry, Mike!). He’s the fastest, followed by me, Boujee, and Kat (who gets a pass, being our wonderful expectant mother).

As we prepare to welcome our first child in December, we can’t help but feel grateful for having Dapper in our lives. He’s taught us about love, patience, and joy in ways we never expected.

Thank you, Dapper, for being the incredible dog you are. Here’s to many more years of happiness, snuggles, and yes, even those skunk adventures!

Woof, Woof! 🐾

Bonjour, fabulous fur enthusiasts! It’s your favorite French bulldogs, Boujee and Dapper, here! This week has been an extravaganza, and we’re here to dish all the deets.

So, buckle up, because a major shakeup went down – our beloved human, Kat, bid adieu to the daily grind last Thursday. Yup, you heard it right! No more emails and Zoom meetings for her; she’s officially on maternity leave. And let us tell you, life has taken a turn for the belly-rub-tastic!

With boxes disappearing faster than treats during snack time, our home is transforming into a baby haven. Furniture is magically appearing, and we’re not complaining. More furniture means more places for us to claim as our own, right? Right!

But the real headline is the surplus of attention Kat’s showering on us. More pets, more belly rubs, and even more walks! It’s like living in a canine spa. We must admit, having Kat’s undivided attention is fabulous—until she falls into a deep slumber. Seriously, it’s like she’s hibernating or something. Not even Dapper’s patient stare can rouse her. We’re starting to wonder if she’s saving up all her energy for the little human on the way. Classic Kat move.

Oh, and did we mention Dapper’s birthday extravaganza last week? We totally forgot to spill the tea on that one! Our humans outdid themselves. Dad brought Dapper for donuts! And…New toys? Check! A winter scarf that screams “paw-sitively fabulous”? Double check! We’re talking about the kind of scarf that would make other dogs green with envy. And let’s not forget the rain jackets we’ve been rocking this week. Who says fashion and function can’t go paw in paw?

In preparation for the tiny human’s arrival, our baby delivery bag is packed and ready to go. We’ve got treats, toys, and all the essentials. We’re on standby, awaiting the big day like the furry guardians we are. Patience is our middle name (unless we’re waiting for a treat!).

As we navigate this whirlwind of changes, one thing is for sure—we’re savoring every moment of the extra love and attention. So, until the pitter-patter of tiny human feet graces our home, we’ll be here, living our best “boujee and dapper” lives. Stay fabulous, friends!

Paw-sitively Yours,

Boujee and Dapper ❤️
