Villlhelllm: How do You even Spell It?

Pregnancy Famous!

Life often has a way of leading us down unexpected paths, some of which may take us far from where we originally intended to go. In our professional journeys, we encounter twists and turns that challenge us to adapt and grow. However, one thing remains constant for those who are truly committed to their mission: the unwavering dedication to what they started. This holds especially true when it comes to providing access to vital information for planning and pregnant individuals.

Imagine for a moment that you set out on your career path with a clear vision of where you wanted to make a difference. As you progressed, you found yourself facing opportunities that you hadn’t anticipated. Yet, rather than steering away from your initial goals, you discovered a way to align your newfound path with your original mission. This is precisely the situation many individuals find themselves in when they commit to providing accessible, evidence-based information about medications, recreational drugs, and everyday life exposures during pregnancy.

Pregnancy is a journey filled with excitement, anticipation, and apprehension. It’s a time when individuals deserve unfettered access to accurate, evidence-based information. Whether they’re planning a pregnancy or already expecting, knowing the potential consequences of medications, recreational drug use, or common environmental exposures is crucial for informed decision-making.

Yet, this information should not be a one-size-fits-all solution. Our communities are rich with diversity, reflecting the complex tapestry of our current surroundings. Different people have different needs, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds that can impact their choices during pregnancy. Therefore, it’s essential that the information provided is tailored to these unique community needs and specifics.

Remaining committed to your mission doesn’t mean sticking rigidly to a predetermined path. Instead, it involves evolving and adapting to meet the ever-changing needs of the people you aim to serve. When it comes to providing pregnancy-related information, this commitment to inclusivity means acknowledging the rich tapestry of our society and ensuring that everyone has access to the resources they need to make informed decisions about their pregnancy and the well-being of their fetus.

It’s about recognizing that each person’s journey is unique and that their circumstances may differ greatly. By tailoring information to suit these individual needs, we empower people to make the best choices for themselves and their growing families.

Therefore even though I’ve started a new professional path about two months ago, I remain committed to First Exposure, which, with the help of my former colleagues, is working hard on providing Canadians with a platform, based on community health and evidence-based resources for planning, pregnant and/or breastfeeding/chestfeeding people. I was asked to lend my pregnant belly and have my Hollywood debut, but also to explain why First Exposure is needed in Canada and someday soon, worldwide. Stay tuned for the trailer!

If Our House Could Talk: Out with the Ivy, in with the Grasses!

Ah, the weekend—a sacred time for relaxation, enjoyment, and maybe, just maybe, getting those house projects done. But for Damian, the tall one, and the Kat, it’s a different story… Their weekends are typically a rollercoaster of ideas that border on brilliance and madness. This past weekend was no exception, and I’m here to share the uproarious tale of our latest escapade.

You see, Damian and Kat had been staring at our front yard for what felt like an eternity. It resembled something straight out of a jungle adventure movie. Overgrown plants, untamed flowers, and vines that seemed to have a vendetta against our concrete wall. It was time for a change, and boy, did we have a groundbreaking idea.

Picture this: our overgrown jungle was about to be transformed into a sleek, modern landscape, adorned with simple black mulch, graceful grasses, a majestic maple, and an elegant yucca plant. We dubbed it our “Black Mulch Grasses, Maple, and Yucca Heaven” project. Ingenious, right?

Now, here’s where the fun really began. Considering Kat being pregnant and in no condition to do any heavy lifting (or bending, for that matter), Damian graciously assumed the role of the chief digger. Armed with a shovel, he ventured into the yard, ready to tackle the Herculean task ahead.

As Damian dug, the Kat decided it was the perfect time to embark on a black mulch quest to the local Home Depot. Little did she know that her adventure would take an unexpected twist, courtesy of a certain local Karen. She apparently thought it would be “cool” to swipe the twelve bags of mulch right out of her shopping cart while she wasn’t looking.

But fear not, dear Vilhelmians, this pregnant Kat was not about to let anyone mulch with her plans. With her baby bump as secret weapon, she rallied, chased down the cart thief, and engaged in a cart tug-of-war that would’ve made any WWE wrestler proud. She emerged victorious, clutching her precious bags of mulch as if they were the crown jewels.

With mulch safely in tow, we continued our mission. The tall’s relentless digging, the Kat’s mulch-protecting heroics, and a touch of humor made for a weekend filled with laughter and memorable moments. In the end, our front yard was transformed into the beautiful oasis we had envisioned.

I must take a moment to express my profound gratitude to Damian, the tall one, for his unwavering determination, kindness, and hard work in making our dream yard a reality.

So, the next time you pass by our “Black Mulch Grasses, Maple, and Yucca Heaven,” spare a thought for Damian, the tall one, and Kat, the mulch warrior, who turned a wild weekend adventure into a beautifully clean front yard and a belly full of laughs.

Woof Woof! 🐾

Salut, everyone! It’s Boujee and Dapper, your favorite Frenchies from the heart of Hamilton. It’s been an amazing week for us, and we can’t wait to share all the woof-tastic adventures we’ve had!

Life has been on the up and up for us lately. Our dads spoil us with love, treats, and exciting new experiences, making every day a butt-giggling delight. But this week was extra special because we got to enjoy our favorite ride—the wagon!

Our eyes light up with excitement every time our dad brings out the wagon from the house. It’s like our own personal chariot, and it takes us on journeys to explore new parts of Hamilton without making us feel like we’ve run a marathon (because let’s face it, we’re not exactly marathon runners).

Speaking of new places, our humans keep talking about Cootes Paradise. They say it’s this amazing natural wonder, but they haven’t taken us there yet. We’re eagerly waiting for the day we get to sniff the fresh air, chase some butterflies, and maybe even dip our paws in some water. Patience is a virtue, they say, but we’re running out of it!

Now, let’s talk about our newfound sunbathing spot. Our home is our kingdom, and we’ve discovered a sunny nook between the wall and the sofa. Boujee loves soaking up the rays there, but there’s a catch – once she gets under the sofa, she has no idea how to get out! It’s like a secret hideout, and we’re convinced it’s all part of her master plan to keep us entertained.

But fear not, life is good for us in every sense. We’re surrounded by the love of our dads, the cozy comfort of our home, and of course, the snacks. We’re living the doggy dream, and we wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

Until next time, portez-vous bien! ❤️
