Villlhelllm: How do You even Spell It?

If Our House Could Talk: Buzzworthy Sunday Shenanigans!

Ah, last Sunday. It was supposed to be a day of leisure and relaxation, with the tall one, Damian, prepping for his upcoming trip to the Windy City, taming unruly grass, nurturing his plant babies, and giving our patio that final, glorious staining touch. Little did we know that our peaceful day would take a rather “stinging” turn.

As we basked in the satisfaction of our home improvement endeavors, a menacing discovery unfolded: our backyard had been infiltrated by a squad of wasps. Not just a couple of wasps casually enjoying the sun, mind you. No, we’re talking about a generous, full-fledged wasp convention, and they weren’t handing out invites!

The tall one, an amateur detective, soon revealed the source of this airborne menace – the roof of the granny house! Those crafty wasps had made a cozy home up there, rent-free, and we were their unwilling landlords.

In true DIY spirit, we embarked on a mission of epic proportions. Armed with a couple of YouTube videos, a pinch of brainstorming, and the fearless determination of Damian, we began to tackle the wasp invasion head-on. Our mission: Get the wasps out. Easier said than done, right?

Now, let me introduce you to the dramatis personae of this pest-busting extravaganza. There’s, the pregnant one, contributing her valuable skills in tool setup, moral support, and a healthy dose of screaming from a safe distance. I mean, who wants to be anywhere close to a vacuum when you’re dealing with wasps, right?

And then there’s Damian, the tall one, full of courage and armed with a vacuum cleaner on a mission. He stood there for what felt like an eternity, battling the aerial adversaries with the suction power of a Hoover. It was a scene straight out of an action movie, with Damian as our fearless hero, and the vacuum as his trusty sidekick.

But wait, our wasp-busting saga is far from over. While we managed to evict a good number of those uninvited guests, the real challenge now is to seal up the hole they called home. It’s a battle of wits and willpower as we try to outsmart our winged foes and prevent a repeat invasion.

Short-Term Sacrifice equals Long-Term Gains!

I can’t help but reflect on the last couple of months of non-stop travel. They say to be careful what you wish for, and I certainly got my wish for adventure! However, as much as I love connecting with my team in Chicago and around the world, being away from Kat and our furry friends is not fun.

Speaking of Kat, she’s been putting in some serious hours at her job also. I guess you could say we’re both workaholics, perfectionists, or just plain nuts. But you know what they say: “Short-term sacrifice equals long-term gains”. You can’t get to where you want to be by not giving it your all, even if that means sending a 3:00 a.m. email.

So, what’s been keeping us going? Well, besides my love for this amazing community, it’s also the inspiring quotes about giving it your all. “Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.” – Pele

And with that, I’ll leave you all with a challenge as we start to wind down summer: give it your all this week, even if it means a few sleepless nights. Who knows what kind of long-term gains you’ll achieve?

Zoom Kicks & Glucose Bombs

Greetings, you fabulous folks from the land of onesies and diaper dilemmas! We’re absolutely tickled to invite you aboard our rollercoaster ride through the mysteries of pregnancy. Buckle up, because our journey has been wilder than a rodeo on a rollercoaster! Now, grab your popcorn and hang onto your maternity pants; we’re about to spill the beans with a side of giggles.

As the weeks go by, I’ve been pretty good, well, most of the time. One of the most amusing moments of this pregnancy has been feeling our little one doing the cha-cha in my belly at the most unexpected times. Imagine being in a work meeting on Zoom, trying to maintain your composure while secretly giggling because no one can tell there’s a tiny alien having a dance party in there! It’s a feeling like no other.

Now, everyone had warned me about the horrors of the gestational diabetes test, but I’m here to tell you, it’s not as bad as they say! My midwife offered it to me, and I mustered up the courage. They handed me a small bottle of pure glucose drink and asked me to down it within 5 minutes, which felt like a mini-challenge. Then, I waited for an hour, which flew by as I continued working away. After that, a quick blood draw, and I was on my way home. The results came back negative, so baby and I are healthy and good to go. However, like most pregnant people, I’ll need to keep an eye on my iron levels, which are a tad low. Time to add some red meat and pumpkin to the diet!

Damian and I are continuing our journey into the world of baby classes. Our Saturday breakfasts have transformed into “baby class breakfasts.” Picture this: scrambled eggs, donuts, and a side of… let’s say, not-so-tasty information. We’re learning and laughing along the way, even if our taste buds occasionally disagree!

Exciting news – You keep asking for it, so we’ll be sharing our baby registry soon, stay tuned for the link!

As for the name – mehhhh we almost had one but it was too “devilish” so we’re back to square one!

Wheels of Fortune: Do You Wagon?

As dedicated dog enthusiasts, Damian and I embarked on a comical journey to find the perfect way to treat our four-legged adventurers, Dapper and Boujee, to longer nature walks. However, our pint-sized French Bulldogs have one minor quirk – they’re about as fond of hot weather as they are of physics equations. And so, the hilarious hunt for the ultimate canine carriage began, taking us from Facebook Marketplace misadventures to the discovery of THE wagon.

Now, let’s rewind a bit. Damian, bless his bargain-hunting soul, is a Facebook Marketplace aficionado. He dives into that treasure trove of online listings like a kid in a candy store. So, when we started our quest for the perfect wagon, it was only natural that Damian turned to his trusty digital playground.

However, Facebook Marketplace, despite Damian’s dedication, couldn’t quite rise to the occasion. It seems even Damian’s favorite online haunt couldn’t provide the wagon we were looking for.

But hold onto your hats, because one day, Damian stumbled upon an online sale! And suddenly we got a wagon out of the internet.

When the wagon arrived, it was like an episode of “Unboxing Extravaganza” in our home. Damian had been gallivanting in Chicago, leaving the dogs and me to speculate about the contents of that big box. When he finally returned, we tore into it with the enthusiasm of children unwrapping Christmas presents.

Now, Dapper, our resident skeptic, approached this futuristic contraption with caution. His first encounter was nothing short of a scene from a sci-fi movie. But Boujee, ever the fearless explorer, hopped right in and acted like the queen of her new kingdom as her dad pulled and pushed her around.

With the wagon as our trusty steed, new and hilarious adventures await us. We can’t wait to see the look on our baby’s face when we introduce her to this ultra-modern doggie transport. With the fall around the corner, as we continue our escapades into the great outdoors, the wagon will become an indispensable sidekick!

Woof, Woof! 🐾

Hello, dear readers! It’s us, your favorite French Bulldogs, Boujee and Dapper, here to share the latest scoop from our exciting lives. Life in the past two weeks has been a rollercoaster of fun, surprises, and a dash of mischief. Let’s dive right in!

First things first, we must give a shoutout to our Kat, who has been taking care of us while our beloved dad, Damian, has been working hard and traveling. We’ve had a blast with Kat, and she’s made sure we’ve had all the treats, belly rubs, and playtime we could wish for.

But, as much as we adore Kat, we have to admit we’ve really missed our dad. His work has taken him on quite the adventure lately, and we’ve been patiently awaiting his return. Well, Boujee, being the brave and patient girl she is, has been a picture of canine elegance, pining for him quietly and eagerly awaiting the sound of the front door opening.

Dapper, on the other paw, had a different approach. You see, he’s always been the more mischievous of the two of us. While Boujee was quietly pining away, Dapper decided to make his own unique statement. First, he thought he’d charm Kat by chewing on her hat, giving it that distinct “Dapper” touch. It was his way of saying, “Hey, don’t forget about me!”

But Dapper wasn’t finished with his antics. Oh no! He had a master plan up his furry sleeve. One day, when Kat wasn’t looking, he decided to take matters into his own paws and chewed a couple of holes into one of her favorite sweaters. Who knew that a little canine creativity could be so…destructive?

Ah, the adventures of Dapper! You’ve got to hand it to him; he sure knows how to leave his mark. But don’t worry, Kat was a good sport about it, and Dapper has promised to make it up to her with extra snuggles and charm.

In the end, both of us are incredibly grateful for Kat, who has showered us with love and attention in our dad’s absence. She’s been an absolute superstar, and we’re lucky to have her. And the best part? Our dad returned home, safe and sound, to his little family.

So, dear readers, that’s our tale from the past couple of weeks – a mix of fun, patience, and a healthy dose of Dapper-style mischief. Until next time, keep wagging those tails and enjoying life’s adventures, just like we do! ❤️
