Villlhelllm: How do You even Spell It?
If Our House Could Talk – The Baby!
Lately, our household has been buzzing with excitement as our humans have started a new project called “Baby”. I’m still on the fence about these humans. The fact that they did not ask me if I wanted a new addition is not helping their cause. After all, don’t they have their hands full with work, the dogs, family, friends, and my projects?
The tall one still hasn’t finished my deck. He’s been making excuses about needing a better mask for sanding, and the rain this week has made it impossible to sand and stain. Meanwhile, the one he calls Kat has been measuring one of our rooms like a bird sizing up a tree for a nest. I’m not sure what she’s up to, but she looks like a woman on a mission.
I’ve never had a baby around, but I heard they don’t sleep. And boy, I can’t wait for it to start walking and drawing on my walls. I can only imagine the chaos and parties that will ensue. Speaking of parties, when are they going to have my housewarming? Oh, the joys of being a house!

Embracing New Horizons
Change is an inevitable part of life, and it often presents itself in the form of opportunities that push us beyond our comfort zones. After spending four incredible years with an amazing team, I have come to the realization that I have outgrown my role and yearn for fresh challenges and since I can’t be busy with one thing at the time, all of this while being pregnant! While bidding farewell to a group of colleagues I cherish deeply is not easy, I am excited to embark on new adventures and explore the countless opportunities that lie ahead.
Being part of a great team has been an invaluable experience – it’s been my first and only full time job after landing in Canada in 2019. With my team, we have laughed, learned, and grown together, overcoming obstacles and celebrating milestones as a unified force. The bond we forged will forever hold a special place in my heart. However, as time went on, I found myself craving more growth and development in my professional journey.
The process of self-reflection and introspection, an inception of sorts, helped me realize that I needed to step out of my comfort zone and challenge myself further. While it wasn’t an easy decision to make, acknowledging that I had outgrown my current role was the first step towards embracing a new chapter in my career.
It’s important to emphasize the deep appreciation and gratitude I feel towards my team. They have been my support system, and my source of inspiration during good times, but also during Covid’s lockdowns. Through collaboration and shared experiences, we have achieved remarkable results together. The memories created and the bonds formed will forever remain cherished.
Now, as I bid farewell to my team, I am filled with a mix of emotions—excitement, anticipation, and a hint of nostalgia. Change may be intimidating, but it also brings new opportunities for growth and self-discovery. The prospect of venturing into uncharted territory, facing fresh challenges, and expanding my skill set fills me with a renewed sense of energy.
As I transition into a new role and embark on a different path, I carry with me the memories, knowledge, and connections I have built with my previous team. While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, I am filled with a genuine sense of enthusiasm and optimism for the future that lies ahead.

Late to the party, we bought a Peloton!
Hello there Peloton enthusiasts and skeptics alike,
It’s your favorite gym procrastinator, Damian, here to tell you that I have finally joined the Peloton craze! Yes, I know, I’m way late to the party but better late than never, right?
For years, I scoffed at the thought of spending $2400 on a bike and $50 monthly on a subscription? But then my boss, who is the epitome of a health fanatic, found a used bike for a great price on Facebook Marketplace. And let me tell you, he hasn’t stopped raving about it since.
Not wanting to miss out on the fun (and friendly competition), I decided to keep an eye out for a good deal. Lo and behold, I stumbled upon a bike that Peloton had replaced just a few months prior. The sellers were eager to get rid of it since they were going back to the gym and needed the space. Talk about lucky!
Now, I know what you’re thinking. “Damian, you hate subscriptions!” And you’re right, I do, if I don’t see the value. But I have to admit, the classes have been a blast — and let’s not forget the leaderboard, nothing like a little healthy competition to get the heart pumping. Even Kat, is loving it. We are about three weeks in and we have both been getting on the bike and pushing ourselves. It looks like I made a good purchase off of Facebook Marketplace.
So, whether you’re a Peloton skeptic or a die-hard fan, I encourage you to give it a try. Who knows, you might just become a believer like me.

Navigating Pregnancy: Calm Waters and Stormy Seas
Finding out about my pregnancy was an exhilarating moment filled with joy, anticipation, and a touch of nervousness. As I embarked on this journey, I quickly realized that along with the excitement came a flood of resources and advice from well-meaning friends, family, and even strangers. Being fortunate enough to work for a health promotion organization specializing in pregnancy added another layer of information and options to consider. While it has been an overwhelming experience at times, navigating these resources and embracing the changes in my body has been an incredible learning process.
From pregnancy books to online forums, well-meaning friends to experienced family members and while it’s important to appreciate the wisdom and support of others, it can also be overwhelming to filter through the abundance of information. Remember that every pregnancy is unique, and what worked for someone else may not necessarily work for you. Trust your instincts, seek guidance from trusted healthcare professionals, and remember that you are in control of your own body and journey.
With a plethora of resources available at my fingertips, it’s crucial to be selective and discerning. Consulting trusted healthcare professionals through regular check-ups and discussions about any concerns or questions is essential. They are the best source of personalized guidance tailored to your specific needs. Prioritizing evidence-based information from reputable sources such as medical websites, trusted pregnancy books, and organizations that specialize in maternal and child health can help make informed decisions.
Seeking support networks through local groups or online communities can provide valuable insights and reassurance. Connecting with other expectant parents who are going through a similar journey can be a source of support and understanding. Additionally, it’s important to listen to your body. Your body knows best. Pay attention to its signals, rest when needed, and engage in activities that promote your well-being. Trust yourself and give yourself permission to enjoy this transformative period.

Woof Woof! 🐾
It’s Boujee and Dapper, your favorite furry friends, here to give you a little update on our pawsome week. Woof!
We’ve been having a wag-tastic time, soaking up all the love and attention from our humans. They’ve been taking extra special care of us, making sure we have all the belly rubs and treats we could ever want.
You won’t believe it, but we’ve been sniffing around Kat’s belly in excitement for the little bundle of joy on the way. We can’t wait to welcome the tiny human into our paw-some pack.
We’ve been keeping dad company in his loft while he works. It’s the perfect spot for us to relax and chillax. We curl up by his side, occasionally stealing a quick nap, while he taps away on his keyboard. It’s our little slice of doggy heaven.
All in all, life couldn’t be better. We’re happy, healthy, and surrounded by love.
Sending you lots of slobbery kisses.
Love,
Boujee and Dapper ❤️
