Villlhelllm: How do You even Spell It?

Life Update: Almost Canadian!

I’ve recently received an invitation to take the citizenship exam! As you may remember, I had to postpone my exam back in February due to work being too busy.

The road to citizenship can be a long and challenging journey, but I’ve been determined to make it happen. I spent hours studying or mostly falling asleep while reading the study guide! But my perseverance paid off, as I was able to pass the exam and am now eagerly awaiting my invitation to the citizenship ceremony.

Becoming a Canadian citizen is a significant milestone for me as it is part of my immigration journey.

As I await the invitation to the citizenship ceremony, I look forward to celebrating with my loved ones and welcoming myself officially as a Canadian citizen. I know that I will continue to contribute to society and make a positive impact on those around me. This is an encouraging achievement that I will cherish for years to come.

If Our House Could Talk: Meeting the Prior Homeowners – A Heartwarming Experience

Greetings Villlhelllmers!

We wanted to share some exciting news with you all. We recently had the pleasure of meeting the former owners of our home and it was quite the experience.

As you may know, in Canada, buying a home is normally through an agent, and you do not get to meet the previous owners. But Kat and Damian are not your typical home buyers. We tried reaching out to the sellers via our agent, but we never got a response. The seller agent was not the easiest to work with and to be honest, we figured they probably didn’t relay our message.

But after being in the house and the neighborhood for a few months, we were able to get a message to the sellers that we wanted to chat. After exchanging a couple of text messages, we were able to arrange a zoom call. And let us tell you, it was a blast!

We got to introduce our dogs, share the story about the front door lock, and even cracked a few jokes. They said they knew the lock would be a challenge. Did you know that changing light bulbs in the living room would require scaffolding? We’re not looking forward to that task for the next few years.

But aside from the laughs, we also got some great tips about the area and the neighbors. They gave us advice on the irrigation system, master bathroom hot water temperature, warranties, and other helpful tidbits.

And don’t get us started on their backyard! It was their pride and joy, and they asked us to take a look. We must be doing something right because their magnolia tree was in full bloom, something they said never happened before. Plus, they noticed we added a couple of cedars and a Japanese maple. We think we’re making them proud.

All in all, it was a great chat and one we will be forever grateful to have had. We’ll share more about the house and its history in a future newsletter. So stay tuned.

Mother’s Day

Mothers are the backbone of our families and our society. They are the ones who carry us in their womb, give birth to us, and then spend the rest of their lives nurturing, guiding, and loving us. Whether they live close by or abroad, their love and influence on our lives are immeasurable.

Mothers are our first teachers, who teach us our first words, help us take our first steps, and instill values and morals that shape our character. They are our confidants, our advisors, and our protectors, who offer us comfort and support in times of need and crisis.

The importance of mothers in our lives cannot be overstated. They are the ones who sacrifice their own needs and desires to ensure that their children have everything they need to grow up to be healthy, happy, and successful adults. Their unconditional love and support give us the strength and courage to face life’s challenges and pursue our dreams.

Our mothers live all over the world. Some live close to their children, while others live abroad. However, distance cannot diminish the impact that a mother has on her children’s lives. Even if they are separated by miles, mothers still play a vital role in shaping their children’s character and guiding them through life.

Mothers are a gift to us all; on this Mother’s Day and every day, let us take a moment to appreciate and honor the mothers in our lives 🌸

Woof Woof 🐾

Woof woof! Boujee and Dapper, here! The weather is getting warmer in Hamilton.

Boujee, being the more sensitive of the two of us, has started to dislike the high temperatures that come with the arrival of summer. She’s not quite sure what to make of all the heat and prefers to stay indoors where the air conditioning keeps her cool and comfortable. She’s been known to give us a pleading look when we try to coax her outside, but we understand – the heat can be tough on our furry friends.

Dapper, on the other hand, has found a new hobby in the warm weather – digging! He’s discovered many places in the backyard that he thinks are perfect for digging, and he spends time working on his latest excavation.

Despite our different preferences, we both agree on one thing – the air conditioning inside the house is our favourite thing ever! We love curling up in front of the cool air on a hot day and taking a well-deserved nap. We also enjoy watching our humans try to resist the temptation to join us in our AC oasis.

Overall, we’re enjoying our summer adventures so far and can’t wait to see what other mischief we can get into. As long as we have each other, our beloved air conditioning, aaaand our humans, we’re happy pups. Thanks for reading, and we’ll see you around! Woof woof! ❤️
