Villlhelllm: How do You even Spell It?
Life Update: One Week till the Move & More!
Moving can be an exciting but stressful time, and we prepare to move to Hamilton in just a week, we are all feeling a mix of emotions. We are currently packing up two separate houses, and going through our belongings has brought up all kinds of feelings.
While packing up our lives is no easy feat, we are also looking forward to the new adventure and growth that awaits us in our new home.Moving to a new place can be a time for positive change and growth. It gives us the opportunity to reflect on the past, set new goals, and make meaningful and impactful changes in our lives. Although the process of moving can be challenging, the excitement of new experiences makes it all worth it!
As we prepare to say goodbye to our old homes , we are keeping in mind that the stress and emotions of moving are temporary. The prospect of a new adventure and growth make the move an exciting time for all of us.
I’m a God Father!
Back in January, Mike and Chanelle called and asked me to be the godfather of their soon-to-be-born baby. Obviously, I was stoked and said “yes” right away. But, to be honest, I had no idea what being a godfather was all about. So, I did some digging, and it turns out that being a godfather means you’re responsible for providing guidance, support, mentorship, and being a positive role model in the kid’s life. That’s totally up my alley! But, get this— I don’t get any naming rights! Come on, being a godfather is all about giving the kid a cool name like “Moonbeam” or “Temperance,” am I right? At the very least, Godparents should be able to pick the middle name. All joking aside, I’m really excited to be a godfather to their new baby.
Mike and Chanelle are living it up in Saskatchewan, but they’re coming back to Ontario soon for their baby shower. Congrats, you guys! I can’t wait to spoil my godchild! 15 Weeks to go! If you would like to show your support, head over to their baby register page and spoil my godchild and if you talk to Mike, tell him that Damian should have some kind of naming rights!

From Expat to Immigrant
September 1994, my family and I drove to Brussels, Belgium – leaving the Czech Republic behind and entering a land of unknowns. I remember getting into the city and facing the reality of being a newcomer: I was 7 years old and no elementary school would accept me and my brother because the school year had already started. Fast forward after a month of knocking on school doors, we got into a community school, but we did not speak French. It was a couple of long nights sitting at the kitchen table with my dad and learning French grammar. I still don’t know how I made it, but after three months I was able to carry a conversation and passed all my December exams in French.
Since then, “Everything is possible” is my motto! Once you decide about what you want in life and you go after it, you are equipped with enough strength and mental power. Things will never be easy, but at least your goals are clear. My life’s “To Do List” is long, but this week one more box got checked: after almost four years in Canada, I have been invited to take the Canadian citizenship exam! Baby steps, are steps, they represent a slow movement and movement is growth. I went trough this process on my own and sometimes all it takes is some positive news in order to keep us going.

Work & Technology Update 🚀
Be aware of the Phish! This week a person that I know got Phish! If a person works in technology and has received phishing training can fall for these kinds of scams, it can happen to anyone. The moment you let your guard down and when it happens.
Phishing is when scammers trick you into giving them your personal information, like your banking details or passwords, by pretending to be someone you trust. They might call you, send you an email or a text message, ask you to provide your sensitive information, or even ask you to send them money.
It’s important to remember that your bank or financial institution should never call you and ask you for your banking details over the phone or request that you send money to a bitcoin wallet. If someone mentions the word bitcoin just hang up or delete the message. If you get a call or message that you’re not sure about, don’t engage with the caller and instead call someone you trust for advice. If it seems fishy delete it and call your bank or financial institution. It’s always better to be safe than sorry!
Tips to keep yourself safe:
A Virus pop-up on your computer: don’t click on anything; instead, run a virus scan using your antivirus software to remove any potential threats.
Bitcoin wallet / Online Wallet: this is usually a dead giveaway that it’s a scam, so hang up or delete the message
A Bank calls advising you that your account has been compromised: hang up and if you still have concerns, call your bank with the Number on the back of the card.
There are bad people on the Internet, so stay vigilant and don’t fall for these scams. Protect yourself and your family. If you have any, always feel free to message one of us.
Frenchie Update 🐾
Woof woof, it’s Boujee and Dapper, the coolest Frenchies in town! We hope you’re having a paw-some long weekend! Today, we want to talk about our Valentine’s Day.
We were a bit bummed when our dad declared that Valentine’s Day was cancelled. We were looking forward to receiving some extra love and attention. But, to our surprise, dad and Kat still found a way to make the day special for all of us ❤️.
Even though we can’t help much with packing boxes for our move to Hamilton next week, we are excited about exploring our new neighborhood and all the fun adventures we’ll have.
Speaking of adventures, Dapper went to the vet this week to get his vaccines. He was such a brave boy! He can’t wait to start going on hikes around Hamilton’s waterfalls soon. We’re going to have so much fun exploring the great outdoors together!
As we prepare to move, we’re going to miss our old home, but we know that our new home in Hamilton will be even better. We can’t wait to meet new friends and make new memories. We’re counting down the days until the big move on Sunday!
We may be just dogs, but we know how to appreciate the little things in life. We can’t wait to start our new chapter in Hamilton and make new memories with our loving little family. Woof woof!
