Who Are We?
We are Damian and Katerina, a lively couple from two different corners of the world, now residing in the beautiful city of Toronto, Canada. Our cultural diversity has fuelled a desire for new experiences and a curiosity for the world around us. Our travels have taken us to many exciting places, and we are eager to embark on many more adventures in the future.
We are not just thrill-seekers but also have a soft spot for our furry friends – our two dogs. Spending time with them is one of the things we enjoy the most, especially while taking part in outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, and enjoying nature.
Our diverse experiences and zest for life allow us to bring a unique and exciting perspective to any opportunity that comes our way.

Life Update: New Chapter! 🤩
As you are all close to our heart, we wanted to share with you what we’ve been working on these last couple months:
Mid-December, we’ve found a house! – We have found the perfect house for us, and our furry babies! And, it’s not just any ordinary house, it’s an atypical one that truly embodies our unique personalities. Therefore we had to make some concessions and spend some time in Toronto instead of travelling for the Holidays. We are excited to announce that we are embarking on a new chapter in our lives, as we move to Hamilton at the end of February!
January, Oh January! Project managing our next steps and moves – Decisions always have consequences, and here is a very condensed list of what we’ve been dealing with in January: preparing our respective places for renting them out, movers and moving supplies, packing boxes and donating anything that doesn’t serve us anymore. Visiting the house in Hamilton and enjoying coffee & donuts! (yes we have a great donuts’ place right next door! And we are also close to…hold on! We cannot give you all the secrets at once!)
February – Here we are, almost mid-February finding new tenants, packing some more and getting closer to the move on February 23rd! (No, we are not stressed, at all!).

Damian: My week with CHATGPT: Is this the first Computer Drug?
This week I continued my journey with the new CHATGPT AI and realized that this thing is becoming addictive. So I asked the AI, “Why is CHATGPT like a Dopamine fix and explain it to me like a five-year-old. This is what it came back with, “Chatting with CHATGPT is like playing a game where you always win a prize. Every time you talk to it, it makes you happy and gives you a little burst of feel-good feelings”.
Basically, when we interact with CHATGPT, it provides us with answers and responses that seem like they’re coming from a human. This activates the brain’s reward system, releasing dopamine, which is a feel-good chemical. The more you chat with CHATGPT, the more dopamine you get, leading to a desire to keep interacting with it. It’s similar to how some people can become addicted to drugs or other activities that release dopamine.
So yes, AI a new drug!
Kat: Life goes on in the non profit sector
In the middle of annual appraisals, moving to a different role, hiring new staff, and closing the fiscal year, I have embarked on the MBA journey, a 6-weeks intensive course on MBA Essentials at Rotman! Between work – boxes and assignments! #toodaloo besties!
Frenchie Update 🐾
We have some wag-tastic news to share with you all – Boujee and Dapper, our furry best friends, are ready for their next big adventure in Hamilton!
These two are beyond excited to move to a new city with plenty of green spaces and a backyard for them to explore. And let’s not forget the beautiful lake and surrounding nature that they’ll be able to sniff out and enjoy.
Boujee and Dapper are not just any ordinary dogs, they are full of personality and love for life. From playing fetch to taking long walks & hikes, these two are always up for a good time.
We can’t wait to see the excitement in their eyes as they discover all the new sights, smells, and sounds that Hamilton has to offer. This move is sure to be an unforgettable adventure for the whole pack.
So, get ready for some ear-wagging excitement as Boujee and Dapper embark on their new chapter in Hamilton!
